Ukrainian gambling regulators have introduced a long list of new restrictions for operators, including a ban of player bonuses

The Ukrainian Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (KRAIL) has published the country’s first responsible gambling regulations yesterday, following a bill passed the year prior, which legalised a wide array of online casino and gambling activities.

From now on, players will be guaranteed the option to set deposit limits and self-exclude. Clockless casino halls and boarded up windows will be obsolete due to the player’s right to have an indicator of how much time is being spent gambling.

Attracting customers via bonus payments, goods or services as incentives and any loss-contingent bonusses will is banned entirely.

There have also been preparations for a legislation to tax gambling, with the current proposal rate being 10% on all verticals.

Finally, operators will require licenses, which have already partially been distributed by KRAIL.
